Hi,
as my Amiga monitor broke I am thinking about buying a TFT (TV) with a scart input (I want to use the scart connector).
Does anyone have some recommendations?

I'm using this one :
Samsung Syncmaster 710MP, 17", 25ms (great for interlaced screens!), VGA, SCART, S-VHS, Composite & RF inputs. The TV set completes with a pair of integrated speakers and, of course, a tuner.
Not bad at all, it's hard to get good shades (being specially hard the damn red!) and usually the colors are a bit blurry even with SCART input. If you plan to have a lot of computers connected, the source changing is VERY slow; but hey, I'm a little picky, maybe you're not... |

Sounds really good! But unfortunately it seems that they don't sell it any more (at least not in germany). The 711MP doesn't have all these connectors.

I use the Samsung Syncmaster 710MP, I use the SVHS input with my TurboR. It produces an excellent picture, Mr Robsy was very impressed when he visited my house sometime ago!
I also use it for my PC and my Playstation2 on the same monitor. I can strongly recomend it!
Try ebay?

I use the Samsung 910mp. Same features as the 710mp but 19 inches.

Currently I wonder, if a 16:9 (or 16:10) display would be even better for the MSX. In 512x212 screen modes the picture is so wide. On my normal 16:9 TV it looks quite cool.

After several tries I choosed a Thomson 20LB035B5 LCD-TV:

It has Scart, S-Video, Antenna, Cinch, VGA, 800x600, PAL and NTSC, and a size of 20".
I am quite happy with it and the quality, it's just a little bit oversized (so it fits perfect to the TurboR ). |

And on top of that, a nice and shiny turboR GT. Your star is rising, Prodatron! Which in turn, reminds me to axe a drooly LCD TV thingy as a birthday present ^_^ |

@Patsie: I need to implement the converter into SymPlay, the current version still shows only the first screen correctly and then displays the following frames with the wrong pixel encoding. But as I have my own Sunrise IDE now, I will hurry up with that
@D-Tail: I am absolutely impressed by the power of the TurboR! It was really a good decission to buy it! And I am happy, that this LCD TV works in a good way, as the last try was a piece of shit. |

I must say I'm a bit jealous of you with this great setup and your pretty TrGT (I 'only' have a TrST, but then again it has 1MB mem and internal 220V psu)
The TrGT case is so much prettier. Good to see you becoming a real part of MSX community |
