Yez.. the subject really interest u to read the message... well, I'm looking for mp3 versions of the very nice MIDI music of Illusion City & the Xak 3 Intro!!

It's so long ago that I heard this music on the Turbo-R in combination with a MT-32 Roland thingy...

And the problem is: I don't have a Turbo-R and not even speaking about a MT-32!

Do they exist??

I have an mp3 of the Illusion City intro, I can't remember where I got it, the date stamp says July 2005.
I also have something that resembles a Xak 1 OST.

If you want, I can put them up for download.

In fact it is a OST of Illusion City & the Xak 3 intro but then de MT-32 Midi version instead of FM-Pac & PSG!!

If it's possible it would be very nice to have your MP3 of the IC intro.. I hope it is the original MIDI intro!!

Don't bother about the MT32 version FM-PAC & PSG outrule the MT32 by miles.. I wouldn't want to trade them!

Thx for the fast reply Gilneas2!! I'm still in doubt if this is the Midi intro you linked here.. I thought it sounded like a full orchestrated thingy... well.. it is a long time ago...

Got a MT-32 but no Turbo-R
Is there an emu out there that can emulate the Turbo-R midi output correctly ?
If so, i can do some recording for you... But it's like wolf_ said, FM-PAC & PSG is better.

Already tried BlueMSX some time ago but the second part of the intro of Xak III sounds completely wrong.

Well, I have a Turbo R and a MT32. The intromusic of Xak Gazzel sucks on MT32 but the Illusion City music is great. If I can make the time I can make mp3's from the music.

There is a Xak 1 and 2 soundtrack. The Xak 2 soundtrack begins with some fully orchestrated versions of the Xak 2 introdemo. Maybe that's what you mean?

Please try openMSX as well then, it supports it. You can easily select the MIDI port in Catapult (on Windows).

I got a couple of MID files of Illusion City ripped from the game... They can be played using the music module as midi-interface...
If you have that thing, you could do some mp3 stuff for Opa... I could do it, but my synth is by far an mt32

I have a Roland CM-64 connected to mine turbo-R and have a MT-32 too, but the CM-64 sounds much better.

Thx Meits!!

@Abi: In this topic I talk about a MT-32 but it could be another Roland connected to a Turbo-R. It is a long time ago and the only thing I still know: it sounded great...

@Yum: I am familiar with the orchestrated versions of Xak (and Ys and so on) but I was just searching for a MP3 recording of the turbo-r and a roland playing Xak 3 intro & Illusion music.

Check out http://www.alsoftware.com.br/adrianpage/illusioncity/index.php?page=musics&lang=en&music=16. There you can find the recordings I made for Adriano using the game, a Turbo R and a CM-64.

I also recorded the Gazzel songs, but one of them has some clicks it seems... Awell, you can find them at http://www.jorito.net/gazzel/ for now.
