I am wondering why Girly Block has that name.
I think it's a really good game and I finished it several times, but I never understood it.
Can someone explain what this game is about?

In those days it was mostly boys that would buy and play games on a home computer. Making these boys believe there were actually dorm girls in robot suits beating the living crap out of each other would probably sell more games. ;-)

I don't think I ever saw a girl in that game outside of the title page.

btw... who made the game? It has a few very compile-ish aspects, but it doesn't seem to be from them.

According to Generation MSX, it's Telenet Japan. And in the title screen, there actually is a girl (see shot @ Generation MSX). Could also be a dog, though

I think it's calleed girly block because you can change your outfit like girly girls and you fight on the block.

Those are high-tech chastity belts and the caterpillars are actually made of pantyhose’s. As for the heavy artillery: you know how competitive girls can get!
