Hello,

I got a lot of 9 floppy controller ICs TMS2793LN (DIP40 - new ununsed) which I bought from Hongkong for 14,60 Euro per item. I would sell them for the same price because I need other ICs than these for my project.
If anyone need some plese leave here an answer.

Regards

Ingo.

@ARTRAC:

I don't know but I read that this controller type is used in some MSX-hardware (see here http://map.tni.nl/resources/ or here: http://www.msx.org/forumtopic6203p585.html).

Sorry I'm not a MSX expert but I 'm looking for people who could need these ICs because I do need WD2797 and I bought the 2793 - my mistake.

Ingo.

The Western Digital 2793 floppy controller IC is widely used in the MSX world: Sony, Philips for example. And not only in the MSX world, it was a standard controller in the 80ties for MFM encoded floppies. The predecessor is the 1793, used for example in the SVI.738.

The competitor then and now dominant floppy controller is the upD765 from NEC since it is in every PC, embedded in the chipset nowadays.
