What's about 80 columns cartridges and CP/M systems?

MODEM and RS 232 C would be nice too ...

This without talking about Light Gun and Light Pen devices ...

Graphic Tablets would have been a great addiction too.

Direct access to disk drives is also not totally emulated in most systems.

Read and write files on floppy disks and hard disk would have been great!

CJMSX emulator had this feature.
This is one of the few Shareware emulators that I really wanted to register, to bad that I don't know if this is still possible at this time ...

It is not easy to make games and play them on emulators without support to real mass storage devices like CD-ROM or Memory Cards. Sure that disk images are fine and somehow limited into the amount of memory.

For those that would like more exotic hardware there was even the Brazilian drives and ports ...

Another polemic point is memory banks and expansion cartridges. It is obvious that more RAM would have been great , now the software ...

Yukio: blueMSX and openMSX have a similar feature as CJSMSX: you can read/write directly to the native disk by using dirAsDisk. Using the diskmanipulator in openMSX, you can very easily transfer data from MSX to PC disk and vice versa.

Also, direct access to disk is emulated in openMSX (and probably blueMSX) as well, for some FDC's, like the WD2793 (AFAIK).

Also, openMSX supports CD-ROM images. And having support for hard disk (using hard disk images), means you do have support for mass storage devices. Those images are not read into memory completely, so there is no limitation into the amount of memory. On Linux, you can probably use a real CF or harddisk partition with openMSX, just as real disks work fine in Linux. (Because Linux treats them the same as a disk image.)

Brazillian drives are also supported in openMSX (and probably blueMSX).

Well, nice for those that use Windows or newer operational systems.

Probably it will work with King's Valley , now will it work with the other games on the Konami Game Collection?

Protected disks.

FMSX-DOS can boot most MSX software , sure that without voices (Aleste 2).Even without voice it is not possible to use all protected software on DOS.
