I've stumbled upon a very strange game.A game that seems to be influenced by King valley and MoG it's called La-Mulana. Can someone tell me if there is also an MSX version of this game?

for the game page:

no problem at all... I'd rather see a double-post every now and then than us missing out on some MSX news ^_^

It's questionable whether turning it into a real msx game is possible. Creating a game with gfx and sound as if it was MSX is one thing, but staying within realistic boundaries with regard to cpu time is much more difficult. It may be that it's too complex for the z80 to handle. Then again, maybe it can be done. Only one way to find out for sure.

I've been playing La Mulana for some time since then and IMO it's very doable on a plain MSX1, I've never seen a lot of moving items on screen. Sometimes, seems that there're more than 4 sprites per line; but as all goes fast I'm not sure about it...
Very neat and original (for a PC) game!

The game rocks! I based the GFX for our game on their style and added some of my own flavor........

La Mulana may actually be mild on the cpu. I can't really play it myself since it's only distributed as .exe. But I did wonder with GR3, which seems rather complex.

Weird ... The name sounds strangely familiar!
It would be cool to have a 8-bits game ...

OMG!

I do not understand exactly why they decide to stop but they will.
After 31 December this year the site and their activities will stop. Mulana and GR3 will no longer be distributed.

Is there a collective way to say "thank you" to them on behalf of the non-asian MSX-scene? (My japanese is really bad these days )

So it's time for asking them to host those games somewhere else...
