Well, there's two words in the original challenge news post that scared me away from MusMod and the likes, actually: "production quality"
And then, you can't load a MusMod samplekit into MBWave (hey, msd: time to create another tool )

@latok: my tool is not limited. It's the opl4. Each sample has a maximum lenght of 65536, however this is a counter in samples not in bytes. So 8bit = 64KB,12bit=96KB and 16bit = 128KB

You could playback such a sample on a PC and sample it on a musmod..

And regarding Moonsound:
- the thing needs more content
- it's easier to get something decent from a Moonsound, so by "directing" ppl towards the Moonsound entries will be more close and it'll be more of a challenge.

Oh, for people in search of samples: have a look at this site: http://www.modarchive.com/waveworld/

Lotsa cool stuff out there, in as-ready-to-use packages as W00lf's sample kit. You can prolly spot some authentic Italo synths out there

all I meant to say is that it was never intended to be a moonsound exclusive compo,
maybe that would encourage people who don't have one to participate.
