I have just seen the Dutch tv program De staat van verwarring (VPRO, Nederland 3) and they had an item about retro computer music that was re-arranged on modern synths. On the festival Noorderslag there was even a performance of this music! The guy who re-arranged this music was wearing a genuine blue MSX T-shirt on national Dutch television! Way cool!!!! Maybe an idea for a new MRC Challenge. "Re-arrange a classic MSX-tune on modern synths"!

"The guy" is our one and only Poke -1,170

Pretty brutal btw to wear an MSX t-shirt while being introduced as C64 enthusiast Compliments also to you Poke, you did very well I think. You were very witty with your answers

Tomorrow-something the episode will be online and I'll do an MSX in the media post about it. Poke does it again. By the way, it was not rearranged with synths, but with a complete orchestra... the C64 orchestra, to be more precise. Too bad Adept (WhamWham Records), Alamo Race Track, friends and booze were keeping me from visiting the performance on Noorderslag...

Requesting a youtube link or direct file download, because I can't find it in the source of that page.
Imbedded RM/WMV don't work well (at all) on Linux.

Gilneas2: try to install mozilla-mplayer or similar mozilla-family media plugins (totem, xine, gstreamer).

Something like the Scene Remake Challenge you mean? (tho this one was limited towards scene music)
