You should have mail! Btw, the I2C bug is in software. The cartridges are okay. There is a flashtool available, i changed one minor thing in it's firmware but it's not worth to flash it now.

The I2C status readback is solved but there are 2 things to keep in mind. After OUT &H22,0 (Init MP3) and OUT &H27,&H44 (Init I2C) there should be a wait of several milli seconds. If the wait for MP3 initialisation is too short, the spectrum analyser behaves strange.

The PLAYINT demo tool is very slow, you have to your a,z,s,x,d,c,f,v,g,b lower case to change bass, treble, volume, balance and audiomode. As you probably noticed, i didn't make a description of this tool . It is writing to the VDP in the ISR, that seems not to work on MSX and accessing any drive will cause a crash (?) but it is the only demo for the audiochips at the moment.

How I can get into the mailing list?

If I'm out because of e-mail bounce back, you can also use the email address in my MRC profile.

Are these the files that Prodatron have?

Any more info about programming the device?

SymAmp should now be able to play MP3s with the MP3 card, and Yobi will send the hardware today. Hope I didn't insert too many bugs.
Treble and Bass control is also part of the new routines, but I still have to add a new option dialogue in SymAmp for this.

There is not much more info. I made the 'Overview.doc' for people who want to make software for it, i think i can better leave the programming of real good software to others. I am not good with DOS2, i can program assembly and hardware but don't know BIOS. I am still listening to PLAYINFO myself, Yobi wants to make a DOS tool, unfortunately there is no software which can handle playlists yet.

You should all have the same files now, (if i have the right email addresses) there was only one bounced email from Spain... (?)When you see the cartridge the first time and want to make software, i can imagine you don't know where to start. I tried to make it clear in the doc, but it is easy to forget some things so i will try to update it based on items discussed here.

Prodatron: once it's possible to playback mp3 in SymAmp, can you then film it and put it on youtube?

Yes, of course!!!
Just don't know when it will arrive. Thursday is a public holiday here, and I am not at home during the weekend, so maybe I can't start to test it before sunday evening or monday.

I don't have that device so I don't know all the details, but is it possible to read out the amplitudes of all the relevant frequencies? If yes, perhaps it's an idea to make a media-visualizer for SymAmp!

And PLAYINFO works just fine It nicely reads the ID3-tag as well, very cute

Now THIS is really strange, playing MP3-files on an MSX computer ^_____^

A spectrum analyzer is already included in the Atmega - so I think this is exactly that, what you were asking for
So I will be able to make the spectrum display in SymAmp in the way like it already works for the PSG.
