Surely you already thought in it . If together an low bitrate MP3 (16-32 dps...) with a VID, you can have videos with sound ^^. Or , indicate that mp3 uses the VID so that it starting simultaneously. Can be a great VIDplayer option

Oh, did you know, that someone realizes exactly this on the C64 a few weeks ago? In this case: To realize this is only kindergarten for the much more powerful MSX But someone has to make a converter.
Another question is how to store the video and the audio data and how to synchronize it. Audio data should never be skipped, but video data have to be skipped sometimes, so the queston is, if it's better to put it in one or in two files.

Seems, that I have a problem with the card now. It doesnt work anymore, also not with Playinfo ("no header", no spectrum analyzer, no sound). On port &h23 I always get 32, doesnt matter what I am writing there (register address as an example). Maybe the Atmega has a problem? I already tried out &21,0 but it didnt help.

Prodatron, I have a problem with the cartridge too. PLAYINFO.BAS not worked and PLAYMP3 do not read stream from file. I have used FLASH.BAS (takes some time until Ok prompt) and now I can hear sound. I must to make a deeper check but I can use playmp3, at last. Must be some issue with the atmel code... seems that get corrupt or lost.

You can ask Dennis or Yobi... They quickly help me with my problem.

Greetings,

How can you double click with more than half an hour in between?

I am very sorry for these stupid double posts, can someone delete them? I guess it is my mobile phone, with which I am online, as I am not at home.
I will try to flash the Atmega now...

Sd-Snatcher: What do you mean with combination of cartridges?

Prodatron: Please check IN &H22 after OUT &H21,0. Then OUT &H22,0 and 4 times IN &H22. The first result should be 128
the 2nd and 3rd something else and the 4th and 5th resp. 0 and 32 or 0 and 0.

It doesn't crash here, together with Sunrise IDE CF.

Well, I checked it again and when I attach the Compact Flash card (Kingston) to Sunrise CF IDE cartridge, it crashes when I play from card or diskette. If I don't attach compact flash card but IDE CF and MP3 cartridge are connected I can play the mp3 from a diskette... maybe there is some power issue with certain CF cards?
