Received new bios, just in time, i was going to reflash the mp3player.

Im going to read the bad flash before reflash it.

The combinations are the places (subslots) where i plug the cards (mp3, obsonet, IDE) into a Carchano's slot expansor.

Not every combination works.

After reflash it works, but i couldnt flash it with Turbo-r. I flashed it with a MSX2 8280.

Prodatron, which computer did you use to flash?

Hopefully everybody received the new SW. I wasn't able to check if the FLASH.BIN is working in R800 mode, probably it is not a problem because this tool really waits until the cart has finished writing a byte. At least it is already faster than FLASH.BAS in Z80 mode...

Oscar: I am also using the old IDE interface with seperate CF adapter, i don't know the difference between the old IDE and the new CF interface.

Sd-Snatcher: Nice to see that it is not conflicting with Obsonet! Before making a deciding what I/O addresses to use i check the internet but there is always a chance that somebody else planned to use the same addresses.

Another thing what might be the problem, yesterday i heard that FAT16 is not working well with FCB's... Should use 'filehandles' Yobi and i also saw problems after 300Mb while the partitions are much larger, mine is 1Gb but is not working after 300Mb. I have to check the internet for this. So if there are crashes, you can try to move a MP3 file to the lower clusters or try another (empty) CF card for the time being if you want to check the hardware.

In Z80 mode flashing worked correctly, and now the card is playing again!

DD: The new IDE CF Interface has the Compact Flash connector built-in and get the power from MSX (no external supply)

I don't know why but I today I have played a song from CF Card without problems (killbill 2 final theme)...

Hum... Playinfo worked ok when I have executed after MSX-DOS2 (IDE CF built-in soft) but I have noticed that PLAYMP3.COM don't work... no sound, no stream from disc but you can exit with space (no hang up).

I don't use FAT16, just FAT12 with lots of disk units and there is no drivers or programs executed in boot. Just a path in autoexec.bat
