Hmmmm?? "MSX Files" never was hosted on Funet (sorry couldnt let this one pass hehehe)

And yes, to me, a 3.5Gb download also takes some time, since I'm still at kbps, not mbps

One solution for the MSX Archive would be to switch to dreamhost (where MSX Files *is* hosted now), they give 1.6 TB/month (and it increases every week you stay with them) to their costumers... If interested, just click here

If you're referring to dreamhost.nl, they aren't cheaper than my current hoster. And they dont even have a standard package that comes near to my requirements..
Also my impression of them by the site is not very professional. No mention of clustered servers etc.

Perhaps redundant information, but take care not to write down full warez links here, eh..

It's Dreamhost.COM, not .nl, just put your mouse over the link to see it

Dreamhost.COM uses shared hosting, but I have no complains whatsoever from them, and their speed is just fine. And you can't beat their prices, with a very large discount for the first year and then something like $8/month!

Just use this promo code when signing up: MSXFILES to get a $97 discount on the one-year signup (which on L1 gets you to pay only $22 for a full year with unlimited emails, php4/5, unlimited mysql, GBs of disk space, among many, many other things!)

Wolf_: warez?

Apparently, there has been an article in a Dutch magazine called "Computer Idee" which referred to a link on msxposse

That's funny, here in Italy there is a magazine that has the same name (http://www.computer-idea.it/). Oh well, I guess it's one of that international magazines translated all across europe...

Public places where one can illegally leech MSX software. (strict MRC policy) Locations are known I assume, sofar I haven't seen links yet, only hints. Let's keep it like that.

What a neat link from computer-idee

what is a "normal" use of monthly bandwith for "funet"? 175 GB does seem a bit exotic for an 8bit archive...

Bastiaan, if you read back: ~1500 downloads of MSX-MBox (64MB), because of a link on computeridee.nl explains the exoticness.

I think you should be glad to be on kbps instead of mbps (phew, 1000 secs per bit... )
