some one told me that the r-type cartridge works in a different way if used on msx1 or msx2 (better gfx?)

I've tryed on bluemsx two configurations (msx1 & msx2) but i cannot see nothing different.
the screen mode is the same.

Does anyone could clarify me?
thx

I believe that it uses the MSX2 colour palette (like Nemesis 3) but I'm not sure.

Looks exactly the same, the screen mode is the same, the color palette is the same.

Maybe i've got the bad version?

Yeah, it's taking advantage of the palette a bit. You can see it well on the 2nd level.

Yes, I remember that on the 2nd stage some colours looked differently on a MSX2 computer.

Btw, if you have an MSX2+ or turboR the MSX-MUSIC is not detected unless you plug a FM-PAC. Martos made a disk version that detects the internal MSX-MUSIC and makes use of the R800 mode to avoid the slow down in stage 3 (and maybe in other stages...).

Basically it's a msx1 game... no much effort to support msx2
