I'm a CX5M user and having trouble loading a program from tape. It's my first time using a tape drive, though I know its connected properly. The problem is on the computer's end it seems - I've tried RUN "CAS:", CLOAD, etc. I type the command, and start the tape. The thing is when I've typed the command and pressed enter, I lose my cursor - and from this point the computer does nothing. the tape ends, and nothing happens. I try pressing keys but nothing happens. I cant ever figure out how to get out so I have to just turn it off. What am I doing wrong?

Have you tried pressing ctrl and stop key?
If that breaks the operation and keys are fine again, you are having loading problems, try adjusting the volume at higher levels or check if the cable is correct.
