That's something we have in the back of our heads, but does not seem to be the solution as of yet.

IMHO, if they fail to use a larger FPGA in the new OCM, then it'll die a death like the C-1. Right now the EP1C12 is at 85% and absolutely no hope of a USB stack in there. In fact, I'd strongly suggest a larger FPGA (Cyclone II) and add a USB FIFO (like the FTDI FT25R) as I don't think there's any good reason to implement USB in the FPGA...
