Perhaps it has a 'userdisk' next to the datadisk. I remember more RPG (like) games having this. The userdisk is usually empty and only used for the user's savegames.

...but with a nice sticker.

The MSX-version is very cool btw! Unfortunately in Japanese.
I just knew the NES-version and I saw & heard it on the MSX only a while ago.

The second disk is indeed the userdisk.

I've just played the SNES version, almost alike the NES one but with some fancy MODE 7 effects as well as improved GFX in combat screens. A must!

SNES version?

Hmmm... Must have great arrangements of the music as well, then.

Just like the MSX-version.

pitpan, well that's a surprise man! I never figured you'd like anything other than 8bit

So judging from what I hear, it's a shame that I've never played the MSX nor the [S]NES version. Maybe I should get downloading then.

Does anyone have a picture of the box/game/cart/book/disk they can post so I can see it?

Thanks!

Sorry I didn't know about the no link request thing.
Do you know who made it though.

Xak ~The Art of Visual Stage~ for Nintendo Super Famicom was developed by Tokai Engineering and distributed by Sunsoft.

Wait, weren't we talking about a FanPort of the NES/MSX Final Fantasy to SNES?

This doesn't sound like it.

The game as described by pitpan sounds awesome though!
