the command to format a disk (in BASIC) is CALL FORMAT
The tape should go into the top-left hole in the 3 1/2 disk (a small square hole, when looking at the disk from the front, the "metal place" pointing down)

I finally formatted the floppy now what do I do?

The cartridge must be damaged... or the contact in the computer; this is an MSX2, it should run the game when turned on (you did connect the cartridge with the computer turned off right?)
And I just confirmed: on OpenMSX, emulating this exact machine (Sony F1XD) the ROM works. So something is broken :/

After I formatted the floppy,
I ran into another promblem,
My PC can't read the floppy anymore because it is a DOS disk now.
So how do I put the rom on it?
HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!

OK,
Can someone please just tell me,
Please, this system is making me nuts!
Am I better off just buying another Vampire Killer,
If I can find one that is!
I mean emulating,
I cant get it to work,
I was finally able to format the floppy on the MSX with the CALL FORMAT command but then my PC would not reconize the floppy so then I can't put anything on it.
I am so lost this is way before my time.
You are going to need alot of patients to help me with this so,
Can someone give it a try to give me a hand.

Try the other cartridgeslot and/or try cleaning the connector of the cartridge. When the connector is dirty you often get this kind of behaviour. What sometimes works : put the cartridge in and wiggle it around a bit. Or put it in and then pull it out a tiny bit so the conector is in a different position. Hope you get it going  |

I fixed the problem finally I went on ebay and bought the European version VAMPIRE KILLER!
Let's hope it works!

That is easy, you download diskmanager which can read and write the msx disks. You must also use this program to write the desired content to your floppydisk. good luck |

I got a Disk Manager!
I have the Vampire Killer Rom!
The screen keeps telling me that the file is on there but nothing happens I type in
run"vkiller.rom"
And it does not load?
What now?
