I knew there was one for it.
Can I have some information on it.
Like some pictiures of it and maybe some info on where to get one?
I would love to know more about it.
I am a huge Final Fantasy collector and this world a wonderful edition to my collection but first off I would like to know first off what it is and how it came to be and most importantley is it a beta or a proto-type of the Famicom version or a full fledged game or what?

Thanks!

Okay, some information. FF for MSX is a full game, not a beta or something. The game uses FM-Pac so the music is better than the Famicom/NES version. The graphics are also better in my opinion. The only drawback is the fact that there is only a Japanese version.

The game is made by Square in 1989, but the publisher was Micro Cabin. The game comes in a very big box (the usual Micro Cabin "big box" ). More information and screenshots can be found on the generation msx site. And one more thing. I don't sell my copy. Maybe Ebay

It's a perfect candidate for a fan translation.
Preferably not by Dutch guys, they might ask money for something they don't own rights of (excluding WOOMB probably)

Yeah. It's still being done though, eg. Deltasoft's Feedback translation is available for order on their site.
We're mainly living with the results now, eg. we can't freely distribute an SD Snatcher translation patch without the original creator declaring it free.

Well, if you want that, try to contact the translator. I'm sure that's possible.

I could maybe do a proper SD-Snatcher translation-hack-job someday... I doubt w00mb would ever obtain the rights to re-release that, so we wouldn't really be doing anyone any harm if we fan-job that one. Of course the real issue is finding someone who understands enough Japanese to make a slightly-more-accurate-translation than the Oasis one which is in circulation now...

Why re-translate a game when you can also do a new translation project. Some candidates: Final Fantasy (rip English text from NES version), Tower of Cabin, Randar 3 or Warau Salesman.

Btw, are there Japanese fan-translations? English games translated in Japanese?
