I have fighted to get my old turbo-r back to life, but my skills are not good enough, alot of people helped at the msx.org, but i still cant fix it.
Less than one week ago it worked, and i was ready to but it together almost
But then the big capasistor started to smoke, and it havent runned since. Anyway I am trying to get some one to fix it here In Denmark. But if he cant solve the problem, i was thinking if anyohne at msx.org are interested to buy this fallen hero ?
Its a A1ST turbo-R actually its one of the first, cause i was bough by Henrik Gilvad back then.
He added extra memory to the VDP - 64kb more i think.
And 256kb more, so i have 512kb memory mapper internal.
The powersuply dont work, after i replaced the big capasistor. The diskdrive connector have to be fixed, as its have been modified to run on standard 34pins drive. Need to solder a bit. And i have drawn some direct lines from the mainboard too, cause of broken lines in the connector on the board.
I am sure if nothing computer have burned, then it will work after the power suply is fixed.
If we come so far it will come with a Panasonic 2+ case, since i lost the original case, and the original keyboard didn work, so it have a 2+ keyboard too. The original keyboard you will get too, but the keyboard film are broken, so you can actually take the film from the 2+ keyboard.
Anyway any idea how much i can get for that one ?
It surely need some work, but i am sure the right person can get it back to work.
