haha thanks again ! you got a neat little player on your site, loads of FM stuff as well so I heard,
a famous dutch newspage mentioned your NES cart release by the way.
I think I'll play some FM stuff for an upcoming show, some x68000 stuff, maybe some of yours
as well (if I can find some place to download anything)

can the japanese msx2+ be upgraded or is it stuck at 64mb?

You would have to go for a japanese model. Most japanese MSX2 and MSX2+ models are base models with only 64 kB memory so I would settle for the MSX turbo R after all, simply for the larger memory (the ST has 256 kB and the GT has 512 kB).

Of course it can be upgraded. Not sure how you can upgrade internal ram,but i managed to upgrade my nms8280 and vg8235 philips models with a 4mbyte expansion cartridge. So if you have free cartridge slots you can surely upgrade ram with an external memory mapper. This can be also done internally.

They can be upgraded most of the time. Before buying, check if there are instructions for the particular machine on the net.
