Hi y'all

I am looking for a version of Moonblaster 1.4 (FM+Music module) which I can install on my HD. Don't start nagging about copyrights because I own the original version as well. Where can I find such a version?

I think a lot of people would be interested in a DOS1/DOS2/emulation-compatible Moonblaster. Might even be one of the reason why we have seen very little Moonblaster songs released in the past few years. Perhaps something for Sunrise to consider? Or how about an IPS patch release?

Well, afaIk MB1.4 doesn't utilize the DOS2 functionality, unlike MBWAVE/MBFM. So you'd pretty much get music and kit files in your working dir. Plus, you'd probably not be able to return to DOS. Which isn't a real problem anyway, cause I assume you're doing this for some speed/loading issues you might have.

TBH, I think MB1.4 works just fine from disk, but it's pretty annoying to swap disks when loading a song. Furthermore, the loading times don't really bother me, which makes me wonder why you'd want something like this anyway.

Of course, I hadn't remotely considered utilization of IPS patches. Which might be a pretty cool solution to implement DOS2 functionality and improve the program's performance.

Yes, you're right

Snout, I have done 4 songs with MB 1.4 using Music Module + ADPCM. Actually, when I'll finish the "album" I will release the songs with the samplekits (I don't know why, but samplekits don't autoload when I open a song). Last year 2006 I was very "quiet" because my change of town, new job, new house, familiar issues (my father died 7th November), but now I have done 2 "albums" with Impulse Tracker and now I want to finish my project of a Music Module only album. Three of the songs were done 2 for the "Encuentros de Jovenes Artistas de Navarra" (a artistic competiton of the Navarre Government) and 1 for last BCN PARTY 110. Fourth song was done this year in april for the 1st Gipuzkoa Encounter. But I want to write 5 or 6 more songs

Yours,

PS: Last friday I played live with two friends in their little village festivities, and yes, main sequencer and synthesizer was... MUSIC MODULE People said: "Wow, totally Kraftwerk like sounds" ^-^ or "Impressive industrial - old techno sounds"

PS2: I have another unfinished project: a album of Kraftwerk free covers made with Pro Tracker by Tyfoon Soft and Music Module. Some of the songs are totally finished.

Because I hate working from disks when I have a harddisk. And also because I am lazy and don't want to pull out my IDE-interface.
