Hi,
I had clean up my stuff from my parents attic and found parts of a NMS8250.
All I had were some parts (not the casing). I succesfully connected an old pc drive and old pc power supply.
It WORKED! But due to the lack of casing I accidently made a circuit shortcut and now the image turned to black and white. But it still works perfectly (aside the image).
Does anybody have an idea what could be damaged???
Shotcut was on right-under of the upper board i believe. But i couldnot find any visible damage.
I really hope this isn't the end of my little project. I was so glad when I inserted my Qbert game and was able to play it once again.

I'm no hardware guru, but it sounds like the analog RGB circuitry is broken. Do you get b/w picture with Composite Video AND with the SCART connection?
