The Disk Driver of my ancient TurboR is broken
Please could anyone suggest me some option to get this TR back to the life?

I live in Italy

What could I buy, as HW, in order to continue to use disks on the TR?

I was oriented to the sunrise CompactFlash adaptor

BUT

1) it seems I need also a CompactFlash ATA-IDE cartridge
2) it seems that it is not transparent to many games that cannot run from it

I heard of LPEMMC from the home page od MRC

1) what is it ? how it works ?
2) it it transparent to games ?
3) does it allow to load roms ?
4) how to buy it from Italy, how much does it cost?
5) is the best solution to replace the disk drive in order to run games ?

Other solutions or suggestions?

Usually only replace the rubber band.

Can get it from Ikeda.

Actually, I can hear the some noise from inside when the disk is inserted so you could be right but...
I've the strong feeling that opening it would result in disrupting it...
and I'm supposed to be an engineer

Anyway, how to contact Ikeda ?

If you hear a dirty spinning sound when you insert a disk probably is due a old drive belt indeed.
About the difficulty, I've replaced several drive belts on a great variety of machines and TurboRs are not specially hard to work with.
You can find easily belts like the one needed by the Panasonic machines on good electronics stores, you only need to ask for video or motor belts. The size of the belt is 48mmX3mm (look at here to find more info) and if you wait until the end of the month you'll even be able to get a guide to make the change

ARTRAG, it definitely sounds like a broken belt. You can order these belts easily from Bas Kornalijnslijper. Replacing is quite easy. I did it myself and I suck at electronics

Technically, a rubber belt looks more like mechanics than electronics, if you axe me... but heck, I'm drunk anywayz *hips*

If not the belt, still contact Ikeda... I bought a tR disk for mine (which was broken, the problem wasn't the rubber belt) from him, he probably still have others
