All msx users often complain about the colour limits of screen 2.
In contrast, spectrum + 3 users think that the enhanced grx of speccy allow for extremely goog picts.
now, because the latter have the same limits of msx1 screen 2 mode, will be a good idea to post the best screen 2 picture here, to see what can be done in screen 2.

Only post true screen2 pictures however, screen2 or screen4 palettizzed ones are not valid.

Well, are sprite layers a trick? Sprites are part of the screenmode. Unless you strictly mean 'tiles only'

I'm afraid there is little to none. The MSX-demo-scene was never really focused on screen2 (exept for some gfx tricks). Most art is made in screen5 or 7.

Too bad btw

...or simply look for the old games cover screens of past editions of MSXdev, some of them are really impressive (aultough most of them must use the sprite masking trick).
One of these screens was ripped in the infamous TI-99/4A affaire and I'm sure that the reason is that they're near of the TMS "state of the art".

Effectively, For a lot of people that is more a msx1 fan than a msx2 (or greater) fan, sound very strange that noone can show what can be done in screen 2. Anyway artrag the in game screen looks very colorful.... !

Yup, reserved a litlle place for ourselves to show others and entertain ourselves.

Could you please take polka! sources with you. I desperatly need to hack it. Need to replace color 0,0,0 with 10,0,0 or something like that. Color 0,0,0 gives anoying transparancy issues on my laptop.
