Brush over the contacts with one of those paper nail files, just brush over them slightly, don't go to town on the thing either!  They should turn a nice copper color again... |

Just did that and it works fine!what can i do to make sure that it does not happen again?Does this mean that the cartridge could really be destroyed some time?

It's a normal thing. Copper corodes when exposed to air. Best remedy is to use it frequent  |

i am glad!You know snatcher game with manual and box in excellent condition and with the scc+ is very expensive.I feel happy that the cartridge has no problems.

I usually use a cotton tip with some alcohol to clean the cartridge connector (not the slot). Works every time, just brush hard  |

I have plan to collect at least all the European releases and MSX1 version of Konami games. Few are still missing and the most wanted at the moment is Magical Tree complete, which I don't have in any form in my collection.
Here's few older pics from my games: 1, 2
Metal Gear 2 which you mentioned to be rare, is not rare in my opinion. It is jsut expensive. More rare games for example in complete condition are in my opinion Cabbage Patch Kids, Magical Tree, Mahjong, which are pretty hard to come by. Of those I have only Mahjong complete.
