Unfortunately i dont have expanded the internal ram of the scc+ so it can only load roms of up to 64 kbytes i think.Should i try to load a bigger rom?
Would it work?

Yes, thats because the volume and frequency is written to offset C0h - DFh in SCC-I and A0h - BFh in normal SCC. So you can't play an old scc song on the SCC-I. |

Do not worry about the size of the roms
in this tread, if they do not fit in the ram you have in your SCC+
you just loose data.
The Sound Cartridge ROM loader will truncate the rom cutting
the PCM data.
This means that after few secs of valid audio you should hear
a glitch and than silence.

don't they start in SCC mode after boot ?
http://bifi.msxnet.org/msxnet/tech/soundcartridge.html
In this case they have freq and volumes in the same position of SCC
moreover I would be very surprised if scrom.zip would set the scc-I in
"+" mode after loading the rata in ram

ok i will try it now.Leila K is a rom of 512 kbytes right?
It does load but all i see is a blue screen.nothing is heard.I placed scc-i in slot 1
So it doesn't work with the scload utility.

Yeah you're right about the frequency and volume. But there is another difference. The offsets to the deformation register of a normal SCC starts at E0h, and on an SCC-I in SCC mode, starts at C0h. So they aren't entirely compatible, especially when it comes to whats discussed in this thread.
Leila K may work fine though (haven't tested it in an emulator with SCC-I yet)

Also the poli-phase player should work fine, as it does not rely on the deformation register....
never the less on BLUEMSX both leila k and the poli-phase player have problems when loaded in an emulated scc+
with the SC loader.
leila K sounds crappy, the poliphase player hangs while probing the correct period.

Leila does not work...Would it work if i loaded in my external memory mapper of 4mbytes that i have with another utility?that way we could test for flaws?

no, in 64K the pictures fill the whole ram....
you should try the poli-phase player,
it was fth01.zip or something

My guess is that its something with the SCC-I rom mapper. I did a quick test in bluemsx and switched SCC mode and Leila K works fine, but running it with the SCC-I mapper didn't work.
