Do these games work on a European NES? And are they in English?

Most of these are in Japanese. Famicom cartridges won't fit in a NES, unless you use a converter (like the Honey bee converter). The only thing you'd miss out on is the optional Famicom on-cartridge sound hardware, used in eg. the Japanese version of Castlevania 3, support for that removed on the NES. They'd work alright on an NTSC NES I guess, but differences between PAL and NTSC NES, most importantly a lower CPU speed and larger vblank period, will cause games that use on-cartridge M2 IRQ counters to glitch, that's more than half of the games on that auction.

Manuel, it's still too easy to find a Famicom clone here in Europe.

But Pooyan is available for MSX. It was published by Hudson.

That MSX 2 Pooyan was written in 100% BASIC.
