I'd prefer MIDI for further arrangements in eg. Reason or Sonar

EVPON: use a better MIDI synth/patch bank for better sounds, then even MIDI can sound good!

Really you are right. I downloaded long time ago some MIDI files from the Falcom web page and they're very good but is not easy to find good MIDI's

MIDI is a format standard, not a sound standard, and GM is a sound-location standard (and another handful o' stuff) but not a sound-quality standard. Thus with high-end instruments it can sound perfect, and without 'em it can sound utter crap.

...And that's the deal with MIDI, indeed.

Well, I made a MIDI of the song "The Andorogynus" and I was tailoring it a little just before "sending it out into the world", however then listened to the PC-88 version again using Hoot...

...And I figured, that, to top that arrangement, I'm going to have to make an mp3 with "extra added audio fun" out of it, which will take more time.

So, screw it for now, Crossblaim's a nice alternative, hehehe...

But, if "one" would really like a simple MIDI with some added stuff to it, I'll "release" it anyway.

You can release it into my mailbox Demonseed. Maybe next weekend we can add the "extra audio fun" at my place. That is, if our girlfriends don't mind.

Splendid!!!

...And if they do mind, we'll just go on strike!

Damn, maybe I should just relocate to your city, so we can make a production like this every week!

BTW for those who like the music of the game Midgarts, try the PC-88 version with Hoot.

One of those of which I think are actually better than the MSX versions.

Same goes a little, AFAIHH (Have Heared) for Arcus 2.

...No, it's not just out of some sort of MSX-chauvinism that I think so.

And I have laid down this song for a moment.

Anyone else doing some Testament remixes? I am not really inspired by the other songs so far...but I might pick one up later
