and in what way did this USB issue relate to importing an OCM again?

I think that the only "card reader/writer" that works on 95 is the GP32 (using FAT12) and this portable console uses Smart Media Cards, not the more common Multi Media Cards or Secure Digital Memory Cards. Also it is possible to "fit" a Smart media into a special "3 1/2" floppy disk reader/writer, but this is not a USB device, only a "3 1/2" disk adapter to read the SMC ...

Unless if someone know about a adaptor, it would not work with other cards like the ones on the One Chip MSX !!!
Some people reported that DOS compatible is better on Windows 9x or pure DOS, not working property into newer systems ...

On Windows XP, sometimes the external USB 3 1/2 Drivers should work to read and write data to MSX discs.
