What do people think about setting a forum group up for OCM?

If we want some kind of 1chipMSX scene to emerge, it might be very useful indeed. I vote in favour!!

I don't know, but what I know is that there would be plenty of more if Bazix would actually deliver the OCM's to their customers.

I have one since last week.

A forum group is good, but in addition to that a Wiki in english would nice as well.

Not that it matters a lot. C64 ppl tend to name their system simply 'sixtyfour'. One or 1 .. why should any1 care? As for the forum category: MRC is currently on the drawingboard, I'm sure we can fork something out in a few months.. (a similar request is laying around for SymbOS, tho something tells me that ppl -and mainly prodatron himself- will continue to use that one single monster thread until eternity )

Well, the question about the name is that 1chipMSX is the name you can find in the official website, manuals, computer box, etc... . I know the C=64 people name their computer the "sixtyfour" or the ZX Spectrum is called "speccy", but the problem is that even in the BAZIX website, an official MSX-A distributor, the name of the 1chipMSX computer is wrong.

We did make plans to offer such a forum-like possibility for the OCM at Bazix, but as we still haven't been able to deliver, such a forum would be a strange phenomenon. As for the name, in our correspondence with the Japanese distributors, we don't call the device '1chipMSX' - this is simple what the logo says. Can't say much about if another name will be chosen for the western market yet. Time will tell

Just wanted to note that as of yet, there's no 'right' or 'wrong' (mind thee, spl ;P)

Rikusu, but such a forum group wouldn't be a strange phenomenon here @ MRC. After all, we consider it being a new MSX computer. Which is kinda.....cool.

And I'm pretty sure the English manual will refer to OCM instead of 1chipMSX

That's true, but not something for just me to decide . Just wanted to let you know that ideas like that have come up at Bazix as well .

I think you all know who you'd have to bribe if you don't like that ;P

I don't know, but what I do know, is that if Bazix actually had OCMs to deliver, they certainly would!
