Can I use some sort of adapter and play some files?
If it would be possible, is the card reader a good option !?
What are the names of (preferable very good) quality adapters ?
If their are generic, is there any reason to chose one brand instead of another ?!?

I've never used this kind of adapters with MSX and the ATA/CF-IDE interface; but as I've used it with other machines I know them and I'm sure there're very little differences between brands, they're usually cheap pieces of hardware.
They're so cheap that you can take the risk to buy one and if it doesn't works, trash it and try with another brand.

You cannot use PCMCIA cards in MSX. There are some PCMCIA adapters to read memory cards in laptop computers, even compact flash and/or SD, MMC...
Main differences between branches is the read/write speed and memory manufacturer (usually samsung, toshiba, MT...). Watch out when buying, because sometimes cheap cards are just the same than expensive ones...

It is for reading on notebook computers, I think that the thing on the PowerBook is for cards. Since, the classic Mac and classic Amiga can use MSX/PC 3 1/2 disks, I believe that maybe their could read the DOS/FAT memory cards too (if the adapter works and with proper drivers) ...
Sometime ago, I saw a adapter for use with Amiga computer line. Maybe the (old) PowerBook could use the same thing! The Compact Flash to SD/MMC and Memory Stick adapter should work even on MSX Compact Flash reader .
