Hello all !

I was playing with my Turbo-r and about half the time when it needed to load something from disk my diskdrive makes strange noises and isn't loading anything...
When I eject the disk and put it back in, it works fine, but offcourse that can't be good for the drive..
The sound is like a little electro-motor spinning very fast..

Is my drive dying on me ? or can it be fixed?

Help !

Yep, probably just the drive belt. You can get one from Repairbas, you can find his e-mail in the contacts list.

And here you can find how to do it yourself : http://www.gamesx.com/misctech/panamsxdrive.htm

Yes, definately time to replace drive belt... This has happened to me too. With a little luck you may find suitable from your local electric shop as well...

RepairBas just informed me, that his website is working again! It was only a problem of the provider.

Yep, works again indeed
Note: Bas will try to get to Nijmegen, but he can't promise anything. The Nijmegen Fair web site will be updated, if something changes in this, of course. Keep an eye on it!

Thanx for all the replies, will try to get a new belt at a local electro-parts shop, and if unfindable, sent Bas a mail next week.
Thanx all!

Well, get to Nijmegen! You can meet him there if everything goes well.
