Just DL-ed the new version of Firefox, 3 (beta) and was happy browsing until I visited the 'ol MRC.
Screenshots? neh, just DL it for ye self, it can run parallel with your other Firefox versions and or any other browser.

If FireFox 3 beta does not render the same as FireFox 2, then who's to blame? Anyway, as of 12 february 2008 MS will push IE7 in an update to every Windows (XP and up) machine, even illegal copies. So, why bother about Firefox? IE is back and it will strike harder then ever before

Okay gimme your flames now!

P.S. before you forget, I don't have the crown pinguin anymore

If you already used Firefox, you won't notice much of the pushed IE7... it will still not be the default browser. And Neelie is at it also

Bart: heck, if you'd used a different [=better] operating system, we wouldn't have this argument right now!

Even on windoze firefox is much better.
Only one example (and there are a lot of point to flavour firefox) take a look at css support in IE7 and Firefox 2 or 3...

If yout have firefox why bothering with the crappy IE*?

Hey konamiman, I'm on Ubuntu too. IE6 works flawlessly, always comes in handy when testing new websites . About IE7: I followed a tutorial to make it work, but [un?]fortunately it doesn't work. It starts, but the rendering engine doesn't do anything.

It's a bit warmer in here, but I don't really feel the flames Anyway, how about the 'core issue'

Dudes, it's Micro$oft that don't apply them CSS rules in the first place. Thaz why IE ain't my fave browser.

Firefox does, however, render CSS the correct way. Like it should, there's a standard and we've gotta obey
Why's does MRC render bad on Firefox3? Dunno, but it's one of the few sites that does.

@Ro, ofcourse IE is shit, but that's not the question

Maybe FF3 got stricter than FF2 is and is choking on some bad HTML output. Could be it. However if FF3 is not rendering the same as FF2... well, I guess all hell will break loose

PS . Did you check out the rendering of IE7 at all actually? It's almost identical to FF2. And also let's not pretent that FF is a saint. FF has quite some rendering issues aswell.

As a developer, using CSS massively, I HAVE to check IE browsers. And yup, IE7 still does not conform to the standards.....
