My disk drive passed away, and I decided to adapt a PC drive.
I made the suitable cable, following aamsx.org design (based on IC-Miri schematics and 100% congruent with Avatar's document). But it does not work: the FDD led is always ON but the motor doesn't move.
Any idea? I built my own cable 2 years ago and it worked, but haven't it right now to compare both. Is the computer broken or should I modify the cable?
Really strange!

Kind regards,

Edu R.

things like this happen on PC when the cable is connected upside down. You might give it a try.

Oh, shit. The cable was perfect! The problem is that the PC disk drive was also defective! I plugged a different one and it worked fine without any problems. Anyway, right now I am the proud owner of a Turbo-R GT thing!
