In-game music... sure, there are some masterpieces around, but I'm quite sure that you'll have at least one or more songs that you can't really stand... that kind of music so terrible that it makes you want to turn off audio when you hear the first note 
For me, it's definitely this French song... well, I think it's French because it was included in no less than a million of MSX1 games and they were all made by the same French company; it's a song composed with no more than ten or twelve notes, that are repeating *FOREVER*. It doesn't matter if you were playing as a firechief saving people in a house, or as a denture avoiding candies in a labirynth, you were always forced to hear this music. Still today I have nightmares at night because of this song

 , I believe it's not a french tune, IIRC it's a dutch one......isn't it the Bytebusters jingle?. A little repetitive; but not bad so far... |

I would say that the in-game tune of DAEDALIAN OPUS really sucks. I did not have the time to convert the whole tune from the original gameboy version.

Don' t want to be a party pooper, but I actually like this song. Brings back good memories I really hate the music of Xevious actually. Psychotic high tones playing too fast. Makes my skin crawl.  |

That bytebusters jingle is quite a nice and jolly tune, but I always thought it was mostly used in wrong games´ title screens where it didn´t suit at all... and anyway it was only used in title screens, it was not ingame tune...
And I always loved Sky Jaguars VERY SHORT beginning tune... always wondered why Konami didn´t make that tune much longer and let it play thru the game?

DEATH WARNING: if you hate that Bytebusters´ tune so much, then please insert Bothtech´s "ANTY" into MSX/MSX emulator... and after hearing good title tune, you´ll die after you start playing... that nonstop in-game "tune" (made of THREE notes...) won´t stop before game over....  |

The Castle has the worst MSX song I can remember. It's only not more annoying than that awful sound in Tricky Boy. 
And Toi Acid Game has a bad intro tune too.  |

at calling it French! It's indeed from the Bitbusters coders... Quite Dutch, and used in way too many games indeed. VERY annoying song. But there are plenty of others as well indeed. |

I never really disliked that tune tho.. one of the few tunes from the old days with vibrato!
