I just read the following on another thread from mth:
Quote:

The FD release of Almost Real was just 1 disk. I took disk 1, which was pretty close to finished, and replaced the "change disk" screen by a modified version of the Mayhem Magazine. The text scrolls automatically (vertical direction) and it has all the songs in a replayer (SQueeZed, so you can change songs without loading).

The disk includes the boot program, the points, the title skyline, the copper bars (including 3D box), the fractals, the wormhole and the end part (magazine/replayer). I left out the art gallery because it was very large and the other parts because they were not finished.

The arrangement with FutureDisk is that they would have it exclusive for some time, after which it would become freeware.

I guess the 'some time' has passed. I'll upload it tonight to my site (or MRC if they want it)

I have a question about that demo. It was suggested that you could achieve 101% for your MSX configuration. How do I get this?

Isn't that described in the Mayhem Magazine?

Mayhem Magazine, is that a reference to the blue-bordered screen w/ scrolling text? That's the place where it's stated that 101% can be achieved. But I'm just curious as to how. I always came around 60/70% with my A1ST plus expansions.

'It is something every MSX2 can do'

Perhaps it has something to do with the set_title or so.
I do not remember.

At least do this:
- turboR
- 4MB RAM
- MoonSound
- GFX9000
- 256kB MSX AUDIO
- MSX-MUSIC (you get that with the turboR, of course)

This gives me 90%. Maybe harddisk installation also gives you some points, but I remember that mth thought that that might not have been implemented anymore.

Then, I still don't know how to get the 101%... (hd install is probably 10%).

If I'm not mistaken mth once told me that you had to use 'set title, something' to make your MSX2 boot with an ugly green/purple color combination or something like that. That counted for the extra procent.

Yeah, it was something like that.
