Next week I'm going to play with my 1chip, so I will try the newer HRA's updating (I still use the original one).
So thanks for your updates/improvements HRA & KDL!

Do you remember that to use latest HRA! model is required a special file with MSX2+ BIOS as 1st file on SD-CARD.

That is not required... It works just fine without... MSX2+ BIOS is required only if you want to run MSX2+ software. (and not always even then)

KdL, I did not remember that, but thanks for the info!
I am supposed to have a Philips 8245 with v9958 and the roms are not changed, just the VDP was replaced (and the required circuitry) [thanks guillian!]. So is this the same here, NYYRIKKI? 
Is it easy to get the Kanji Font & ROMs from MegaSD from the OCM to do all this stuff with the BIOS? If it is not, and someone have them dumped, it would be easier for me! |

It is not possible to confirm the operation OCM because I am traveling (4/27...4/30).
The development environment is carried about.
In EMSX_TOP_20080426_005.zip, a dangerous bug was found !!
The port "REG_R9_Y_DOTS" of VDP_SPRITE.VHD is not connected on VDP.VHD.

Do you recommend downgrading to EMSX_TOP_20080426_004?
What is the worst possible situation while using this EMSX_TOP_20080426_005 version? Risk of shortcircuit or something like this?

Good thing I read this... I was planning on bringing my 1chipMSX to Outline 2008 later this week.
I think I'll stick to HRA!'s emsx_top_20080426_004 update and the original PLD for now...
HRA!: Keep up the good work!
Also, when running MSX 20th Anniversary demo (by Abyss) on the default 1chipMSX (just out of the box, no updates) the 50hz weirdness makes my VGA monitor go all O_o. Using the emsx_top_20080420.zip the graphics appear fine, but it locks up after the Abyss logo at the stars screen. Even though I couldn't see anything, I did have audio with the original PLD so I assume it did work. I haven't tried this demo using the Composite/S-Video outs though.

Just installed EMSX_TOP_20080426_004 and I must say I am impressed !
Here are some interesting adresses in the msx2+ bios:
$1002B: Country code You can change this to 1 so eg. vampire killer starts in english
$17F90: Default foreground color
$17F91: Default background color
$17F92: Default border color (hint: change this to 4)
$18581: Default foreground color stored in clockchip during boot
$18582: Default background color stored in clockchip during boot
$18583: Default border color stored in clockchip during boot (hint: change this to 4)
$18584: Key click/function keys Change to 0 to disable key click and function keys
$1857E: Default screen mode (0 or 1)
$1857F: Default width low nibble
$18580: Default width high nibble
To change the default screen width to 80 change $1857E to 0, $1857F to 0 and 18580 to $05
Replace Yen sign with backslash:
Change $11e9f and on to: 00 00 80 40 20 10 08
All addresses are offsets in the large 384kb rom.
I tested with phc-70fd2 roms, but they should also work with fs-a1wsx roms.

The bug correction related to the sprite display is included in 20080426_005".
A fatal bug is only connected forgetting.
I will return to the house tomorrow.
And, the wiring mistake is corrected and released.
I am consecutive holidays until May 7.
I want to be going to correct the bug that stands out in consecutive holidays
