The best thing about this game is probably the title screen

Doesn't hero look a bit constipated in it?

Actually, I was away this weekend, but I managed to beat the game last Wednesday or so. I was planning to upload some screenshots, but you just beat me to it. Great work though!
It took some time, but I figured it out as well. Keys open doors on the map, as far as I know there are eight levels in total, every two you'll save a beautiful princess [who appear to be nieces because the only thing that separates them is their dress]. What the branch thing does: no clue! I have found some cool weaponry though - fire balls, fire rays (swap with [Z] and [X], press [SPACE]+[DOWN] to activate), life restoration potions, invincibility potions, etc... Best of all, occasionally, you earn a sword or shield when you beat a normal boss. As you gain more swords, your strength increases. I found out that there are two types of swords, and just one type of shield. Why this is, I have no clue.

You know what... I'll fast-forward to my workstation in a minute or so and I'll post the pics anyhow

Well done D-Tail!
Now play it again, map the whole thing so we can put it on MSX-solutions!

I don't think it's a bad game at all, but it's quite hard to play if you don't know how to do it (for example, secondary weapons are not too intuitive to select/use, as D-Tail explained).

Here you have some key combinations I found out:

run: press twice left or right
secondary weapon: down + jump
strong attack (1): jump + down + attack
strong attack (2): double jump + down + attack

Strong attacks are important to beat middle bosses and dragons.

About the green branch, it totally restores your energy when your e-counter reaches '0'

Maybe you don't like the game, but it's a great conversion from the original arcade, that's for sure!
