I am also a Turbo R owner
Regarding the kind of game I'd like to see on TR, I'm a RPG guy. However, I'm not sure that a game could really take profit of TR hardware, mainly because of the VDP low speed. For instance, Illusion City seems a game that could have perfectly done on MSX2. Maybe Moonlight Saga is slightly better, technically. I have only seen the demo version, but it seems to have much smooth motion than Illusion City.
RyJuZo, what exactly do you have in mind when talking about pre-building graphics on RAM and then dumping to VRAM? I mean, why doing this instead of using pre-generated graphics? |

The main reason is to save space. I would like to be able to fit a game on a 512k ROM
But I also want to have smooth animation, not a two frame animation more like eight or ten frames.
And since the Turbo-R is very FAST in RAM and very SLOOWW in VRAM.
You can draw and create GFX - EFFECTS in ram move it to VRAM and then use it in the game.
for example I will use it to mirror/rotate GFX so I only have to draw it looking one way...
(btw do you also own a GFX9000 or Moonsound, if not are you planning to? the reason I ask is because I wonder how many people have them. I would like to support them in my games for even more beautiful gfx, together with a turbo-R I can create some pretty awesome games...I am releasing a small demo soon demonstrating the way my (future) games will look like on turbo-r+gfx9000 )

Well, I've a TR and a GFX9K; so I would be extremely happy if I can feed my machine with this kind of software, no doubt about that... |

Yes! i'm with you .. i have a TurboR-GT + GFX9000 and i have made a lot of routines for making games with this configuration!!
We can .. we must do games for MSX Next Gen! hehehe
I'm working in a kind of SCUMMVM or i would like to mount something in this way, of course. During this months i have work in some MSXDOS stuff (DLL, memory management, scripting, music and graphics) but my time for MSX is short .. but at less i have time for the MSX!!
RyJuzo!! go for this super GFX9000+TR games! you seem that have time for MSX! i would want try your demo! yeah!
