BlueMSX (and other) problems....

I recently downloaded BlueMSX 2.7.1 to our laptop (1.6Ghz and XP).

At first I didn´t notice anything special, as at first I downloaded new BASIC contest games (UFO, etc..) as BASIC games naturally run bit jerky, but when I downloaded some machine language games, I found out strange behaviour:

emulator acts like someone is pushing PAUSE/PLAY buttons at VERY FAST rate, so you can guess it´s very irritating to even try to play games.....

But then I downloaded Commodore 64 emulator VICE and it acts exactly same way, so problem is in my computer....

I never had such problems with those emulators with my previous PC (R.I.P).

Any suggestions what shall I do?

Regards,

What processor are you using? Iirc there is a bug in the timer implementation in some AMD processors. If this is the case, I think there is a windows patch to fix it.

Hmm, couldn't that depend on the processor stepping as well?
