It has been done before, in the way Jipe describes. Look for the design of the MegaRam, several versions available. You can replace dynamic RAMs with a large SRAM nowadays.

SRAM? I'll need a gold cap to keep it alive dont I?...are there any that small that they would fit inside the cartridge together with the rest?

You started this topic just to produce the cartridges by yourself and now you're willing to buy them. I don't get the point, RyJuZo. Invest your time in coding the game instead!

Hey, what's wrong about being enthusiastic? But of course, I agree with you, pitpan -- all things in due time. First a game, then the rest ^_^

I dont think you're quite following it.
according to Jipe I ought to open up a ZEMINA cartridge to look for the basic design...

I dont have a zemina game cartridge in my posession and that is why I'm asking if anyone has one for sale...

So I can copy the design and add some changes...and build my own.

And dont worry so much about me not spending enough time coding the game.

I spent at least 2 to 3 hours on the game EVERY DAY ! which is more than enough to complete it in time.
Every aspect of the game has already been planned out...in a 40 page game-design...(This is how I work professionally also).
This game-design includes everything from the story to the maps ....the various enemies....the hidden secrets/items ....the gameplot-twists .....background research (on the GREEK GODS for example) etc etc...
So no worries...this game is going to get there...and ya gonna like it too...(I hope)

Also, Jipe, do you think you can translate your post on ESE-SCC to English?

Thank you!

I think there is an intermediate option for what you are asking for.

Try to ask Matra/Shockware if they can provide you the board and components as a "DIY" kit. May be they can sell you some...

Keep in mind (when you order a board to be made), that the "big expense" is the first design of the board. The more boards you order, the cheaper they are. Doing only a few will be very expensive.

Thnx for the suggestion but I think with Jipe's help I'm getting there.....
As for the casing...I have plenty of cart's,mostly japanese which I never play and never will, so I'll reuse them...

I've got all parts I need (except for the 74LS670 still looking...anyone know where to get them??)
And got all the tools necessary already to create the boards
so all in all not that expensive

Try this site http://www.budgetronics.eu
Here I bought quite some 74LSxxx from.
Where did you get the 628528 from? As I am looking for that chip too ...

Hmm, I just noticed that the ls670 is not listed on their site anymore ...
You can look on ebay, they are not cheap but still listed.
