In the time needed to translate a whole monster-sized RPG you can translate a large number of smaller games (or, games with little txt). And it's not that we always need those texts, but it just looks better.. Imagine some games, Psycho World, Aleste etc. etc., small games, but in English they'll look better ..

Damnit, will you people get off my case on the Final Fantasy translation?!
Seriously though, I found my FF1 translation development disks, and when I get some time I will definitely continue the translation. The script is translated, which means just the menu's, items/equipement are left. However, it will require lots of hacking and reprogramming of the display routines in order to even be able to display the text...

Should be a piece of cake for you right? 
Someone in the east of the Netherlands is working on translations too and she too is working on FF1 translation IIRC. I do think Guyver will have a better chance on translating it even though it's a quite good effort to know people are working on translations. |
