My girlfriend collects board and card games. I'll ask her if she can explain the rules. A friend of hers owns an original Mahjong game, but there are probably some rules on the internet too.

Thanks already for the rules
And oh yeah. Sargon is already busy translating Shalom. Don't you all love Rieks!!!!!!!!!
Tower of Cabin would indeed be a good idea. To finally get out of the first room. (At least I never came out of the first room. If anybody can tell me how to do it, please tell me. And no, it's not a wrong crack or something, it's the original.)

It's been a while, but in Brazil already a nearly-complete Portuguese translation and a quite advanced English translation of Shalom were made (see this newspost). Same goes for Illusion City (this newspost). I think it's a smart thing to team up so that hacking the text display routine etc. don't have to be done twice.

Rieks already did that. He just has to replace the texts.

I translated Shalom? Haha. I wish I did. Shalom has been translated by a group of Brazilians. The translation can be downloaded from their site, but I forgot the URL. If I remember correctly, it was Ricardo Bittencourt who was in charge of this translation. I offered him help, but since I couldn't implement the translated texts myself, it was hardly fun doing. And since I had very little time, I did nothing but make the manual scans in the end.

And Illusion City is also being translated by the same group of Brazilians. In Portuguese, that is. But they reprogrammed the text routine and it's absolutely fabulous. Little has been translated since October 2002, but I consider contacting them and proposing to make an English translation simultaneously, using their routines. If I find the time, that is, since I still haven't had any time to continue translating Rune Worth... And now two other projects have come up: the Bombaman storyline and of course Twisted Reality 2.

By the way, nice to see you here, YUM.

Tower of Cabin is boring. It would be a lot more fun to translate some Disc Stations or something.

Oh, by the way, YUM: Hans has made an English translation of Aleste. It will be put to download on my site as soon as possible.

I would like to see Starship Rendezvous translated.

Or some PCM samples added for Turbo R or MSX Audio

Do you really need that? I think everybody can imagine what the japanese texts say or what sound is produced...

I would like to see translation projects which were started in the past to be finished.
To name just a few:

- Randar 3
- Dragon Warrior 2
- Shalom
- Snatcher (english)
- Illusion City (of course)

Does anybody know if there is still any progress, or are those projects 'dead' so to speak?
Haven't heard much about any of them for quite some time.

I've been out of this scene for far too long, but the advantage is that I can still enjoy games that everyone allready has finished so many times. Atm, I'm enjoying the remakes of MoG and Roadfighter.
So, I have no real need for all those japanase games.

But if there are any translated releases I'll be happy to try them.
