After searching this forum for GFX9000 topics I came across many topics where people were saying that they were gonna make a gfx9000 game...but after searching for gfx9000 games I could not find very much...

which is a shame !!!

It's a beautiful piece of hardware with a lot of potential. And what I've read about it it's real easy to program for.

So our knightmare 3 project will (probably) be our first and last MSX1 game and all others will be GFX9000+MOONSOUND games....

I will start with a simple game(no puzzle!! I hate puzzle games) to familiarize myself with the hardware....maybe a pinball game...?

and then some really cool games....

I'm still thinking of making hitman. with Gfx in the same perspective/style of metal-gear but with more animations..and better gfx ..etc

unless you have a better suggestion??

Do you mean long term projects ?

My proposal (waiting under the ash) was
http://msxgamesbox.com/karoshi/index.php?topic=30.0

that in turn inspired this (AD&D from Intellivision mixed with Berzerk )

Impressive, Arturo! Love the samples and the fast paced action. Now you need to add some fancy intros and that will be it, ready to be produced in cartridge format

Designing 2d gfx is not so difficult nowadays ...

I'll use 3d-max to design the scene-gfx to get the right perspective ...and export it ...transform/simplify the colors ...and do a touch up ,clean up...

The characters+animations will be done in Poser....

We use these packages quite often so...no sweat !

G9k+Moonsound is also something I want to do. Problem is: we (infinite) usually want to do everything, every contest (and in addition a number of tools and some more internal tools). When we choose to do a G9k/Moonsound game then it will probably implicate we'll not be doing a game for another contest, like MSXdev'xx. And that's a bit of a dilemma yes..

Actually I think this is a bit true for other groups/persons as well..

That one is extremely cool ! Like the concept and the sound FX !

Does it require an SCC or is it PSG based ?

Ok. That is a way to do it.
I thought you were adressing the gfx itself as being better then MG's but I read it wrong. You're only talking about the perspective (which works very well indeed).
Very curious to see some actual gfx...........

The intruder samples are SCC only.
