For the past two days the msx2.com domain has been down, including all pages hosted on msx2.com (Meridian, msxhans, MCWF, Deltasoft). Has anyone received a message from Iwein whether his server is getting some upgrades/maintenance again, or is something else going on?

I think Bas Kornalijnslijper tried to contact Iwein about it, but probably has no response since he thinks even his chello.nl account has been disabled.

Hmm, if the chello account was really disabled, a huge problem arises.
what happened to all the valuable sites hosted on msx2.com?

Yup,
Iwein's email account on chello is indeed not available at the moment.
It is too early to panic, UPC has plagued this locations before.
The chello test server is not reachable either at the moment and that server is located afaik in Brabant, also the location where msx2.com server is situated.

It starts to worry me now.
Iwein is still not reachable by email on his chello address and msx2.com is still down.
It seems more than a local problem with the ip address of msx2.com or the upc connection to the server as happened in the past , since the email server of chello is fine but it does not know Iwein anymore. Did Iwein lost his chello access?

... it makes me wonder if Chello allows their users to run a webserver. @home doesn't. xs4all and demon do. I don't know about Chello :/
Does anyone have a phone number of Iwein? Calling him might clarify some things.

Thank you very much for your email, Rob (and for not putting the phone number in the forums). Fortunately, Hans Otten already received a mail from Iwein. It was 'just a Chello problem', the server will be up again soon.

Yes, msx2.com will come back soon. Indeed a problem with UPC. Iwein is back online and so will the sites.
Btw, lots of thanks to Iwein for donating his server and bandwidth of his personal cable connection (and no, running servers is not allowed on chello but ignored if nobody complains) to the MSX Community for free. He does not do much with MSX himself lately, he preferres pinball machines and such!
