Bussum doesn't have an intercity station..

There's an express train ('sneltrein') leaving for Amersfoort from the Naarden-Bussum station.

Anyways *sigh* I guess Rob is right... (though I seriously doubt the CGV feels like organizing it again).

I'm no mod. here.. But I guess... we spoken a lot about trains and intercity's, so it's time to go back on topic..

If you wanna be a pretend-mod, maybe you can give a good example?

I'd like to quote BiFi by this:

Like snout I think the CGV has no real connection with MSX anymore. It's a pity such a group of people who have organised this international MSX meeting/fair for so many years has reduced their MSX-activities to a minimum or even to zero in such a fast pace, I have to admit I think this one was the last meeting in Tilburg.

As you can read in the Preface of the Bits, it's not MSX-oriented anymore. I think that's too bad, because I think there's still a 'market' for.

Well, errr... The last replies were about intercity-connections, and not actually about the fair himself...
I didn't read here about who bought some stuff, or some more detailed information of users, who visited the fair!

I'll start:

I went by train from Nuth (Z-Limburg) to Tilburg and arrived around 8:30 at the place of destination.
Helped Rinus of MSXInfo, with his stuff, etc...
Joined the stand of M.A.F and after making the supermarket unsafe, I bought the game Sorcerian!
Tilburg was great! except the idea, it was hot, and the organistation s*cked.

What should change?:
Here are my ideas+a summation of idea's mentioned before
Anyone got more idea's?

  • heating.. It was too hot (but then again, that's a problem I've seen on every fair )
  • there should be a room where lectures can be held (maybe the room where Nishi gave his lecture is a good idea)
  • the organisation should listen to boothholders wishes, and respect them
  • there should be a paper with information like a map, boothholders info etc.
  • the meeting should be focused on MSX.. I don't like seeing all those pc's when arriving
  • a group should not be placed far away from other groups/not alone in a room
  • there should be more information spread around before the fair (how to register booths, route information, maybe signs on the road/railway station etc.) this and last year I think the information about the fair was not very clear.
  • Let Boothholders clear their own booths/room, or be carefull with their stuff.

While I'm making this list, I see there are a lot of items which used to be A-ok.
I've been a boothholder in Tilburg for a few years, and I've never had any troubles
So I'm quite curious about a reaction from the organisation.
Is it a money issue, or are they really fed up with us MSX'ers. Which I can't imagine, because 99% of the visitors are MSX users

LOL, ofcourse not! And you're the one complaining about it being off-topic? READ THE TOPIC: "Tilburg - What should change". It's not about sharing what you did at the Tilburg fair! So just... don't comment on what other people do please. It's annoying in general, and especially when you're wrong, it makes you look really really stupid.

Aside from that, it was a rather 'double' remark anyways because sunrise and snout said similar things, which were more to the point too.

Anyways, talking about things getting off-topic >.< I'll shut up now ^^;;.

~Grauw

p.s. to make it a tiny tad bit more on-topic: Chaos, if you want to use the large hall for presentations, I don't think it's a good idea. Why not, you may ask? Well, if the hall is used for presentations, that means the same amount of space is available for booths as this year. Meaning some people have to be put in small rooms again. So I think, since msx.org is organizing the presentations anyway, it's best to just give the msx.org stand a lot of space, but not the entire hall.

It seems that subjects that are perhaps relevant to a new Tilburg-fair become a topic itself.Furthermore there is not the slightest idea what the consequenses it will give if Tilburg will not be on the calander.
See the poll about the visit of the fair if you had enough time and money.
There are people already speaking about a new fair. We have first to know about what CGV wants/does etc. So, give me and snout that space first .
Snout set this topic offline till the the time we finished the definite letter.

Because about all has been said and done about Tilburg 2003 it's indeed about time to close this topic.

As you probably know by now me and Rob Hiep are working on a letter to the CGV in which we confront them with the trouble we had this year and what we think should improve. Today, I finally have the time to work on that letter again. If both MRC and Sunrise agree on the contents, all other stand-holders will be contacted and asked to agree with the contents of this letter as well.

After that, we'll have to wait on the reaction of the CGV. We will keep you posted on everything that happens after that.

I have been reading this thread now, because of the replies on the Tilburg 2004 announcement thread

But I haven't seen a single reply from CGV...
Did they respond to any of the complaints yet ?
