Well, a thing about the symbian os is that there is little good free software. Finding full cracked versions of commercial programs is really easy for now, but, you know, it's ilegal... The best way is use these cracked programs and buy those that are really useful and have a reasonable price.

Yes, prices are quite reasonable indeed. About 10-20 dollars in most cases....Well, you didn't say too much about the phone. After some days, I finally have the idea I start controlling the OS pretty much. I have installed some nice features and I'm very happy with it! I have a Vodafone account and Vodafone at the moment has a lazy smtp-server (authsmtp.vodafone.nl)....It delivers .org-emails immediately, if you try sending an e-mail to i.e. an .nl-domain, it takes hours.....Upto half a day.....Hopefully they will fix this shortly. Already phoned the helpdesk about it.....

I haven't used yet, the Internet capabilities of the mobile due to... well, here is Spain is so expensive to use GPRS. Btw, I can't get the WAP working with Movistar, but this is a known problem and Movistar is working on it (or I hope so). Other operators users (such as Vodafone) don't have problems to access Internet from the 3650.

I'm concurrently searching a OGG Vorbis player program, since MP3 at low bitrates sounds horrible
And about forum topic... Looks like nobody is interested on porting or developing an emulator for these devices (maybe that we have to wait for MSX PLAYer, but.... that is too much to wait...).

I have a 5mb datatraffic per month now for 10 euros per month.......I think it's reasonable......Gives me enough freedom to use it pretty frequently.....

Okay, I've done it: I ported the fMSX 2.7 emulator core to Series 60. I still have some work to do but I decided to publish a pre-release (version 0.90) already... have a look at my S60 web page and download the install packet from http://personal.inet.fi/private/riihimaki/s60/

No probs... my target is, however, not to create as accurate an emulator as possible but rather to just enable you to play some of the good old MSX titles.

Sorry about the non-existent documentation, BTW. The current hardcoded joystick settings are: directional control for the directions (they also generate cursor key events at the same time), left softkey for fire button 1 and right softkey for fire button 2. Pressing the directional control (aka OK key) generates a space key event as there is no space key on the phone. To exit the emulator once it is running, press the "No" key (the red button).

But I will work on the user-configurable keyboard/joystick settings next - I hope to get it done by the end of next week though I don't have much time to work on this next week.

I have now updated my web page with a "new" version, 0.91 - I removed all ROM images from the distribution as requested and added two small updates to the program.

If there are problems in getting the PC tools working just yell and I'll try to help you do it.

Nice work JR! I know at least one Nokia 3650 owner who is very very very very happy right now. Right, Latok?
