Yep, it seems that Kpi-ball doesn't require msx-audio to have music but, even if not required, the game checks for Msx-Audio at the start anyways. And since FMSX S60 doesn't support (yet?) Msx-Audio we get no music at all Hmm what about a patch to let Kpi-ball believe that THERE'S Msx-Audio even if this feature is not emulated? Will this solve the problem?

I don't think that helps, because if the game detects MSX-Audio it tries to use it.

BUT... thank you for bringing this problem up, because there was indeed a BUG in the MSX-Music emulation, the volume was so low you couldn't hear anything It's now fixed for v1.02, and I tested that the music works in KPI-Ball. I'll put it up today or tomorrow!

[edit]
I also tried out having MSX-Audio support in the emulator but it's simply too big, the emulator binary was over 1 megabyte...

It looks like I'm a bit late ^^U I tested KPI-Ball with 1.00a version, although the FMPAC is detected there is no music output. Nice to hear that the problem is solved

I thought, maybe it already works. But it doesn't

It does now. Not many things updated but the MSX-Music bug fix was important enough...

A new version's already up, and I'm such an ass and have to complain again
Looks like there's a problem w/ the new state-save-function. In each session it's only possible to save once, if you try to save again later, fMSX/S60 outputs a general error, only exiting (which results to an error-message again) and restarting the emulator let's you save again.

Thought that might be a important for you (and others as well?) to know

BTW the OPLL-fix is great, thx!

I hate to admit it, Sousuke, but you're right! I'm sorry peeps, I'm a lousy tester. There seems to be a problem related to the save state progress dialog. However, it works in my development environment but not on the phone, it's one of those bugs again... I made a quick fix for it by removing the progress dialog and it works now. I'll upload v1.03 in a few moments to squash this bug.

Now you just need to be patient while the save state is going on, the UI will be frozen until the confirmation note appears.

I'll have a look at implementing the automatic save state someone requested earlier for v1.04 when I have some spare time. And thanks, D-Tail, I try my best.

Don't worry about the (yet) undiscovered bugs. We'll help you tracking them down
And besides, you can't imagine how happy we are with our 'portable' MSX. Without you we wouldn't be able to play MSX w/ our phones, rite?

Finally found the cause of the save state dialog problem in v1.02, a thread scheduling obscurity - it's nice that you need 15kEUR worth of debugging equipment to track these down Anyways, it works again with the progress dialog now, and I added the automatic save state possibility. I'll call that v1.04, out tomorrow most probably... so I suppose there's no need to update from v1.03 unless you have use for the automatic save state (it makes resetting and exiting the emulator somewhat slower when it's turned on). Maybe I'll try to optimize something for the next version after that, it's been a while since I've done that.

Hey people,

I have installed fmsx (1.04b) on my nokia 6600.

But i can't play the games, the emulator says no system roms installed.

I used the PC tool set for creating install packages from system ROM and cartridge ROM images, but i missing some system rom files ( i guess)

On this site the other rompackagers have broken links.

If somebody can give me some advice, or send some rompackagers to my email.

I really hope you can help me,
