Ok, I/O emulation it is then. I was wondering what the block coordinates mean -- is it because the whole TV image does not fit in the provided 256x256 image and so you can set the clipping rectangle for the digitizer or what? Or does the digitizer also scale the digitized image?

In fact, all Series 60 phones have at least a VGA resolution camera (640x480), so providing 424 lines is not a problem at all (i.e. supporting the odd/even frames). Some have even higher resolution like the 6630 (1152x864) -- BTW, the 6630 really is faster than the 6600, I can run games with resampled rendering and sound at full speed with no frame skipping. I suppose it's feasible to think about the 16kHz audio support someone suggested here earlier...

No, it is not offset, it is indeed scaling. You can find more detailed information from BASIC commands described in first page of HBI-V1 topic.

Hmm... then the resolution must be problem of the "pain in the ass" internal camera software of 6260.

Okay, I've got my Symbian & fMSX/S60 equipped cell phone, it's a Nokia 6260. jr --> You rule!

Aw man, it's so sweet to be able to play SD-Snatcher while you're on the train, driving to school...

I hope you don't really play SD-Snatcher while driving to school in a train! I guess it's okay if you're just a passenger tho...

You get the idea
The Lost World is very nice as well, save I've got no FM-PAC music, although I //have// installed FMPAC.ROM... :\

D-Tail, so you can enable FM-PAC from the "machine setup" menu? Note that you don't need to insert the FM-PAC cartridge separately, it will be loaded automatically if it has been enabled in the machine setup. It is, once again, possible that I broke it in v1.06 when I adapted the support for the third cartridge slot from fMSX 2.8, I'll take a look at it before I release v1.07 (currently looks like due in two weeks or so). Which FM-PAC cart are you trying to use?

I have also been able to get a preliminary support for the HBI-V1 working using the phone's camera as "video input". Thanks to NYYRIKKI, BiFi and HansO for the technical help on the HBI-V1.

I can enable the FM-PAC from the menu. I use 'FMPAC.ROM', the one which is delivered with fMSX-DOS and (iirc also) NLMSX (#0.46 orso, older version, the newer ones don't have ROMs). When I've enabled it, I still only have PSG sounds.

Another thing, I renamed MSXDOS23.ROM to MSXDOS22.ROM (I needed a DOS2, so I thought MSXDOS23 would do good as well), and the emulator hangs at startup when I have it enabled. Maybe I should look for a proper MSXDOS22.ROM

Finally, I played SD-Snatcher for quite a while, saving the state when I had to do something else. At one point (I had played for 2 days orso) I loaded the state where I was, and the cursor keys didn't function anymore. Possibly something went wrong saving the state. Is this behaviour normal? Now I've learnt to use the user disk ... Pity though, I've to start all over. :\

[edit]
I haven't tried to manually insert FMPAC.ROM in the Media Setup menu, though... But as you said, that wouldn't matter.

DOS2.2 should be fine, I've used it recently in the emulator. DOS2.3 I haven't tried.

I'll check the FM-PAC again to see if something is broken. I'm sorry to hear about your problem with the save state, the symptoms sound a bit weird :/

Today I had the same thing again. I was watching the end demo (state loaded from user disk ), halfways I paused the emulator (state save) for dinner. Afterwards I tried to load the state again. Music was allright again, but the SD-Snatcher end demo was stuck! Now I don't know if you've ever seen the end demo of SDS, but normally you should see some clouds flying over some kind of Thunderbirds starship, some text appearing underneath it, et al. Now the clouds didn't float anymore, the text hung, but music still played like it should.

Weird, now ain't it?

Anyhow, my advice would be to use the SD-Snatcher user disk instead of state saving. I don't know how it is with other games, I only tried SD-Snatcher. Eagerly awaiting the outcome of the FMPAC issue!

Very true, but I should acquire a separate LCD for that... which is expensive, yes.

I'm currently not running the latest version of fMSX/S60, but FMPAC emulation + savestates do work like they should. Perhaps a bug or two were introduced in the latest version... ?

Any suggestion as to where I can obtain #1.05 then? Or anyhow, the version you use? It seems only the latest can be downloaded from jr's website...
