I have now implemented the support for the block size and block start parameters in the HBI-V1 except for the 1/3, 2/3 and 3/4 sizes -- I was wondering if anyone knows what the actual pixel sizes and positions for the images are when using these modes. This is because 256/3 == 85 1/3, which means you will either have two 85 pixel wide and one 86 pixel wide image, or three 85 pixel wide images and one pixel column is left unused...? And the same problem applies to image height (212/3 == 70 2/3).

Also, since the internal software always clears the whole screen, I was wondering if using mode 3 (clear memory) with block size & start parameters actually clears only the specified area?

D-Tail, do you mean that when the HBI-V1 digitizing process is started, I would actually show a "normal" RGB camera preview on the screen until you press a key and only after that the emulated HBI-V1 would get the digitized image? It would certainly make it easier to "target" the image you want to digitize.

Sousuke, the ROMpackager on your website seems to be corrupt. Could you replace it with a working archive? Thanks!

Wow didn't notice that the file was damaged! Must 've got corrupted during a (recent?) backup...
Thanks snout!

Today, I bought a Nokia 6630 and of course, I tried installing fMSX s60.....No problem at all! BUT.....NO SOUND!! JR, what's the problem with the Nokia 6630? Other Symbian OS version which causes the sound problem or something?

No sound? I've been running the emulator on my 6630 for half a year now and getting sound out hasn't been an issue. There are some other problems though. Does the emulator still run if you have sound enabled? Did you check the sound settings? If you have "obey silent mode" turned on, your active system profile needs to have "Warning Tones" turned on as well.

Isn't that so for every Symbian phone? My 6260 has that as well... Check your manual carefully

And btw, nice work, that 6630, I didn't have the patience to wait for it at the time...

Yep, it applies to any Series 60 phone. The "obey silent mode" option in the emulator is only available in the b version, the a version works as if that setting was off.

I'm just catching up this thread, but just to make sure:
* you buy a Nokia,
* install an MSX emulator,
* and play Metal Gear on it?
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh. now please explain to me why my code should be efficient??? All the stuff I'm writing now can be emulated in 20 years time on a watch, why should I care about clock cycles or LOG(n) operations?

If Apollo 13 would have been built by Nokia...

Have you configured the ROMPackager correctly?
Before creating the SIS-Package, go to the package config: Menu -> Package -> Configure
Then a new dialog opens, change the version number in Package ID and in Package Dependency to 1, 7, 0.

Or change the default settings of the packages under: Menu -> Package -> Defaults
So you only have to change it once

Ok, gettin' pretty aggravated over here. I changed the settings but still no dice. I'm using Rompackager v1.03 and Fmsx 1.07b. It keeps on telling me that the package is suitable for FMSX060 version 0.98.
